Hi,
in this first post I will briefly outline my plan for the brand new Moshi Monsters Sign in blog.
The idea came from my 6 year old daughter
The idea of creating this site originated with my 6 year old daughter (now 7 1/2) . She came back from school one day with two Moshi Monsters trading cards which had been given to her by her friend. She litterally jumped up and down with excitement as she explained to me how popular Moshi Monsters were in her local school.
I looked at the cards more closely and she explained that there was also an online game which according to her friends “absolutely every children in the whole wide world had access to” (her favorite expression) except her, of course because her parents (aka me and my wife) were so strict and unreasonable.
So the pressure was on, to find out more about Moshi Monsters and I looked for the Moshi Monsters Sign in page, did what most parents ought to do (checking the small prints) and at that point, I felt that I ought to sign in to the Moshi Monsters online game myself to check it out.
A bit complicated for a 6 year old although I am sure she will grow into it. .
..So the next day I broke the news to her:
“Her mum and I had spoken… and whilst she would not yet be allowed to play the online game by herself”, she would be allowed to buy Moshi Monsters cards to trade them with her friends and in due course “if she was good for at least a couple of years
” she would be able to get back to the the Moshi Monsters Sign in page to play the game.
The following day she took her own pocket money with her and joined her mum shopping, only to find that the local toy store had SOLD OUT of cards and ended up buying a rather expensive Shi Shi monster pet keyring.
Note: For those of you looking for the Moshi Monster sign in page, you should know that Shi Shi looks like a panda with sleepy eyes and I quote ”is very cute
”
However cute Shi Shi is we will, I am sure end up buying more Moshi Monsters trading cards and gadgets in the future, so I thought that it would be wise to find out where to buy them cheaply and that’s how I came across Amazon.
My plan for this blog
Over time I will encourage my daughter to write about her Moshi Monsters to give her another reason to practice her English in a fun way and start learning about using the internet at the same time (let see if this will work).
